Guide

How to set up sauna memberships.

Memberships turn regulars into predictable monthly income. Here's a simple structure that works for most UK saunas.

Start with three tiers

Three tiers is enough for most saunas: an entry tier for occasional visitors, a middle tier for weekly regulars, and a top tier for people who come several times a week.

Credits, not unlimited

Give each tier a number of session credits a month. Credits are easy to understand and protect your busiest hours from being filled by a few people.

Add guest passes and member prices

Guest passes let members bring friends, which is how memberships grow your customer base. A member price on extra seats rewards people who come more often.

A worked example

Seaside Sauna in Lancing offers Bronze, Silver and Gold tiers starting at £40 a month, with monthly session credits, guest passes and a discount on extra social seats.

Take payment automatically

Monthly card or Direct Debit payments save you chasing people. Make it easy to change tier or cancel, and people are more likely to join.

Questions

Good to know.

Should memberships be unlimited?

Usually not. Monthly credits are easier to price and stop your busiest hours being dominated by a few members.

How should members pay?

Monthly by card or Direct Debit, taken automatically.

How much does Stoked cost?

Stoked is a flat monthly price with no commission per booking. Bookings start from £45 a month, and every module together is £150 a month, excluding VAT. Card fees are Stripe's standard rates, paid from your own Stripe account.

Can I try it first?

Yes. The live demo is a working copy of the platform. Book as a guest, then open the back office and the app and change anything you like. Nothing to install and no card needed.
